As part of our commitment to safety, Ironbark Demolition is fully licensed and insured for Unrestricted Demolition in QLD & NSW. We are also pre-qualified under the NSW Government Projects Category X. All of our staff are trained and licensed for the high-risk activities they perform and we provide regular retraining and upskilling. IBD also has a Certified Occupational Health & Safety Management System ISO 45001 in place which fulfils ongoing licensing requirements under the Work Place Health & Safety Legislation.
SUSTAINABILITY
Repurposing & Recycling
IBD is committed to recovering as many re-usable materials as possible and lowering the overall environmental impact of our demolition projects.
Where the opportunity exists, IBD crushes concrete on-site for re-use in the ongoing construction project. Asphalt is re-used on local landowners’ roads or recycled. All recovered hardwood timber is recycled. Materials such as steel recovered from reinforced concrete is sent to licenced premises for recycling.
Our demolition methodology reflects our commitment to the principles of resource recovery underlined by our “de-construct, don’t demolish” approach.

Materials produced on site are recorded in our Materials Management Register which details the type, quantity, carrier and destination of those materials.

IBD is compliant with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines (The Guidelines) and National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry. The Modern Awards that apply to IronbarkDemolition Pty Ltd have been assessed against the Guidelines, and have been certified as Code compliant.

Workplace Health & Safety Management
IBD is committed to supplying a high standard of safety for all employees, clients and the public in performing de-construction services, and to promote and maintain safe work practices within all aspects of its operations. IBD’s Workplace Health and Safety Management System is ISO 45001 Certified. IBD has extensive WHS management experience in WHS Management Systems for private sector civil construction, in addition to State Government and numerous Local Government Authorities.

Environmental Management
IBD is committed to managing its work activities in a manner that is consistent with principles of environmental protection and sustainability. We achieve this aim via our Contractors Environmental Management Plan (CEMP). We specialize in operating in environmentally sensitive sites and the handling of contaminated materials. We are cognisant of our environmental responsibilities, are committed to preventing pollution and comply with all legislation and regulations. We strive to continually improve our systems and performance.
